Baltimore has more than 225 neighborhoods.
Each neighborhood often has its own character. It is impossible to
describe each community but there are historically and in reality
certain neighborhoods that most Baltimoreans have heard of and know of.
Those who have lived in or been in these places in their lifetime really
know the heart of each neighborhood.
Each neighborhood literally has a "personality" that has arisen from
each neighborhood,s history, people, icons, festivals, culture, and
physical structure (buildings, stores, streets, etc.)
There are neighborhoods that are more "touristy" -but there are also
neighborhoods that have interesting profiles beyond that aspect.
